Robert Van Winkle, better known as Vanilla Ice, is pouring new life into downtown Lake Worth Beach. The once-forgotten 1920s Masonic lodge at 1000 Lake Avenue called Gulfstream Lodge Scottish Rite Cathedral, is being transformed into the highly anticipated Vanilla Ice brewery, a 14,000-square-foot destination complete with a rooftop bar, outdoor event space, and a museum dedicated to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
A New Chapter for a Historic Lake Worth Beach Landmark
The building at 1000 Lake Avenue dates back to the 1920s, when it served as a post office and retail space on the ground floor, and a Masonic lodge on the second. Now, this nearly century-old structure is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
