About Palm Springs, FL
The history of Palm Springs began in the early 20th century when the region was predominantly agricultural. A large dairy farm had been established in 1927 by William A. Boutwell, former vice-mayor of Lake Worth. Governance-wise, the farm was one of the largest in all of Florida and extended over nearly 700 acres. The farm was home to over a thousand Guernsey cattle, incidentally contributing to the invention of half-and-half cream.
